Sausage and Veggie on the Grill

Something easy on the grill and GREAT for a summer get-together on the patio!!
Ingredients
  • 1 lb Georgia Best Brand Italian sausage links sliced ½ inch
  • 1 zucchini cut into 1 inch slices
  • 1 yellow squash cut into 1inch slices
  • 1 sweet red pepper sliced
  • 1 onion cut into wedges
  • 1 cup quartered fresh mushrooms
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbls dried oregano
  • 1 tbls dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the oil, oregano, parsley, garlic salt, and paprika. Pour over sausage mixture; toss to coat. Divide between two pieces of heavy-duty foil (about 14 in x 12 in.). Fold foil around sausage mixture and seal tightly.
  2. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 20-30 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Open foil carefully to allow steam to escape.

Pasta that you can chill and have for leftovers and it be equally delicious the next day as it was the day you cooked it.
Ingredients
  • 2⅔ cup of spiral pasta
  • 1 lb Georgia Best Brand smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1½ cup sliced fresh carrots
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 small onion, halved and sliced
  • 1 tbls canola oil
  • ½ cup Italian salad dressing
Instructions
  1. Cook pasta until its tender. Meanwhile in a large skillet, saute the sausage, carrots, green pepper, and onion in oil until sausage is browned and vegetables are tender.
  2. Drain pasta; place in a large bowl. Add sausage mixture. Drizzle with dressing and toss to coat. Serve warm or chilled.

Sausage Potato Casserole

An easy to make casserole using sausage. Could be made for brunch or to take to a covered dish event.
Ingredients
  • 1 lb Georgia Best Brand Pan sausage
  • 1 10¾ oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 3 cups thinly sliced peeled potatoes (1¼ lbs)
  • 1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink: drain. In a large bowl, combine the soup, milk, onion, salt, and pepper.
  2. In an ungreased 11 in. x 7 in. baking dish, layer the potatoes, soup mixture and sausage; repeat layers.
  3. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1½ hours or until potatoes are tender. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
Italian Sausage with Bow Tie Pasta

Simple pasta dish that is delicious and taste like you slaved over a hot stove for hours!!
Ingredients
  • 1 pkg (16 oz) bow tie pasta
  • 1 lb Georgia Best Brand Italian sausage links
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1½ tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 14½ oz cans Italian stewed tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp dried basil
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a covered pan cook the sausage, onion and pepper flakes over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook for 1 minute longer and drain.
  2. Stir in the tomatoes, cream, salt, and basil. bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 6-8 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Drain pasta; toss with sausage mixture. Cover with cheese.
